Free Lunch Information
Dear AVUSD Families:
We are pleased to inform you that Apple Valley Unified School District (AVUSD) will be implementing the option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for 2020-2021 School Year.
Community Eligibility Provision is a Universal Meal Service Program which allows AVUSD to provide Breakfast and Lunch free of charge to students at specified sites that meet the Federal Program Guidelines.
Apple Valley Unified School District is implementing the Community Eligibility Provision at the following sites:
Apple Valley High School Desert Knolls Elementary Granite Hills High School High Desert Premier
Mariana Academy Phoenix Academy
Rancho Verde Elementary Rio Vista Elementary Sandia Academy Sitting Bull Academy Sycamore Rocks Elementary
Vanguard Preparatory Yucca Loma Elementary

Breakfast and Lunch are provided at no charge to all students
No meal applications are required

AVUSD Nutrition Services is serving free school lunches to children ages 2-18 years old every Wednesday from 9:30am to 1:00pm at Apple Valley High School, Phoenix Academy, and Sitting Bull Academy. There will be no meal distribution during winter break (12/21/2020 - 1/1/2020).
