A Molina Healthcare representative reads a book to Yucca Loma students. On Thursday, Feb. 11, nearly 200 kindergarten and first grade students at Yucca Loma Elementary School each received a new book donated by The Molina Foundation, a national nonprofit organization focused on reducing disparities in access to education and health. The donation consisted of Valentine-themed and Disney children storybooks and materials, as part of the organization’s For the Love of Reading campaign. The books were delivered by Molina Foundation representatives, Molina Healthcare volunteers and “Dr. Cleo”, the Molina Healthcare mascot.

“As an educator I appreciate those who share our vision of a world full of readers,” Yucca Loma Principal, Rey Rodriguez, said. “Getting books into the hands of students is an essential piece toward that vision. I appreciate organizations like the Molina Foundation that help
in this shared vision of literacy for all.”
