Vanguard kicks off science fair season with Discovery Fair

Earlier today, Vanguard Preparatory School showcased over 450 projects at its Middle School Discovery Fair. 

Students in grades 6-8 submitted projects in the following categories:

  • Science Inquiry (Traditional Science Project)
  • Environmental Exploration
  • Engineering
  • 3D Printing
  • Autonomous Challenge (Robotics)
  • Reverse Engineering
  • Science Fiction
Awards will be presented at a ceremony this event. Select students will advance to the district-wide science fair in February, with hopes of advancing to the RIMS (Riverside, Inyo, Mono, San Bernardino) County Science Fair in the spring. 

Additional school science fairs will be held across AVUSD in the coming months.
