AVHS teacher, Bethany Thompson, talks to teachers about technology.
School may be out for summer, but that doesn't stop AVUSD teachers from learning, collaborating and preparing for the upcoming year!
Staff swap ideas relating to technology in the classroom.
The first Summer Tech Cafe took place June 2-3 at Apple Valley High School. AVUSD teachers from all school sites had the opportunity to complete 19 different technology workshops, led by AVUSD's own teachers. Each workshop offered instructional sessions on various programs, websites, and tech tools to support both teaching and learning in the classroom. Teachers also had the opportunity to collaborate with one another, get tech support, and enjoy coffee shop refreshments.

During the school year, Tech Cafe is a weekly event which offers a venue for teachers to meet and collaborate, and to receive "a la carte instructional technology support" in a welcoming environment.

A huge applause to all of the teachers who took time out of their summer to learn more methods of integrating technology into the classroom!
