Superintendent Tom Hoegerman named Administrator of the Year

Apple Valley Unified School District Superintendent Tom Hoegerman, center, was named the Administrator of the Year by the High Desert Education Consortium at their annual School District Appreciation Breakfast Thursday morning. VICTORVILLE-- On March 10, 2016, the High Desert Education Consortium named Apple Valley Unified School District Superintendent Tom Hoegerman the Administrator of the Year. The award was presented at the 2016 High Desert School District Appreciation Breakfast, held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Victorville. 

Hoegerman is an advocate for making sure students have the opportunity for future success through education and economic opportunities in the High Desert. In addition to his 34+ years of teaching and administrative experience, Hoegerman has served as Co-Chair of the SANDABS organization advocating for schools in San Bernardino, Chair of the CAHELP JPA, Chairman of the High Desert and Inland Employee and Employer Trust, Co-Chair of the Mountain Desert Regional Alliance for Education, Chair of the Mountain Desert Regional Career and Occupations Pathways JPA, and is involved in many high desert community organizations including the Victor Valley Chamber, Apple Valley Chamber, High Desert Hispanic Chamber, Apple Valley Police Activities League, and is the President of the Rotary Club of Apple Valley. 

Hoegerman is an advocate for making sure students have the opportunity for future success through education and economic opportunities in the High Desert. "We see him in the community all over the High Desert,” Dr. Donald Parker, director of admissions at the University of Laverne said, as he introduced Hoegerman. “With his warm and caring spirit, he makes a difference for students.”
