posted Feb 3, 2017, 3:48 PM by Kristin Hernandez
On Feb. 3, Rio Vista School of Applied Learning held their annual Chinese New Year Celebration. The entire school assembled on the playground to watch a parade, created by the school's second grade classes. Each second grade class made a dragon, which paraded around the audience as the Granite Hills High School Band played music. Second graders were treated to a traditional Chinese meal, including fried rice, egg rolls, chow mein and chicken.
