The Bright Futures mobile health services van is now available at Phoenix Academy!

Beginning Oct. 4, families can receive health services every Tuesday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., except on holidays. Services include physicals, well woman exams and chronic disease management for adults, and immunizations for the entire family. There will be two exam rooms and a Family Nurse Practitioner available on site. To qualify for services, families may be uninsured, meet the federal poverty criteria, and provide proof of income.

Mariana Torres, Phoenix Academy Principal, said that the school has been
working with St. Joseph for a few years to bring the van to Phoenix. “W

It is not just to take care of ‘my’ kids, which is my number one priority, but it is also for the people who take care of my kids. The parents, the grandparents, the families.”

Bright Futures mobile health services operates through St. Joseph Health St. Mary and is funded through grants from the St. Joseph Health Foundation. The van regularly visits several community locations throughout the High Desert.

Phoenix Academy is located at 20700 Thunderbird Road in Apple Valley. For questions, contact Bright Futures clinic staff at 760-946-4240.
