We'd like to thank our students, families and our community for their vigilance in response to the online threats of "clowning",  a recent nation-wide phenomenon in which individuals dress as clowns to harass communities and to disrupt schools.

We ask that you continue to be vigilant and report and suspicious behavior.  If you see anything suspicious, whether it be in person or on social media, please contact the Sheriff's Department or Apple Valley School Police at 760-961-0672 immediately. We appreciate our community for being vigilant and helping our district as we work together to keep our children safe.

AVUSD takes threats seriously and will continue to work with the Apple Valley Sheriff’s department and Apple Valley School District Police department in this matter.  The safety of our students, staff and families continues to be our top priority and the district will remain vigilant.

All schools will remain open and will operate under a normal schedule.
