Two students from Apple Valley High School’s HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) program recently attended HOSA’s 10th Annual Washington Leadership Academy, held Sept. 17-20 in Washington, D.C.
Vivian Do and Jared Falkowski had the opportunity to network with and receive training from the HOSA: Future Health Professionals National Officer Team. They also had the opportunity to visit Capitol Hill and meet with Claire Cozad, a staffer from Congressman Paul Cook’s office. The students were accompanied by HOSA Advisor, Tamara Alt, and JeriKay Falkowski.
The annual conference is available to all HOSA State Officers and Local Chapter Leaders. It includes workshops and interactive activities, to provide expanded leadership development to HOSA leaders.
