The Apple Valley Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter will hold its third annual “Raising the Barn” fundraising event on Oct. 1 at 5p.m. at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds Building 4. The chapter hopes to raise the remaining funds needed to furnish the interior and the exterior of their new approximately 4,000 square foot barn. The barn will provide students an opportunity to learn while using modern equipment and will help students gain skills that will advance their education for years to come.
Last year, the chapter raised over $30,000. This year, they hope to make the event even more successful. Apple Valley FFA invites the public to attend or to consider donating items for auction or partnering with them as a sponsor.
Tickets are $25 at the door, or $20 presale. Kids ages 4 and under are free. Tickets include a barbecue steak and chicken dinner with a no host bar, and access to both a silent auction and an exciting live auction conducted by Earl Graham of I-15 Auctions. RSVP by September 18.
