SATURDAY, JANUARY 28TH, 2012 The 2012 High Desert’s Best of the Best Showcase is a regional event at which local teachers and administrators are invited to share effective instructional strategies with attending K-12 educators. The purpose of the event is to provide quality professional development to teachers in the High Desert that is FREE, convenient, and proven to make an impact on student achievement. To Register: 1. Click the following link: http://training.vesd.net/index.php?show_main 2. To the right of the screen, click the link: "Sign up here!" 3. Create an account by entering only the fields marked with an asterisk*. All other fields are not needed. Be sure to note the user name and password you input as you will need them in the steps below. 4. Click "Submit" button at bottom of page. 5. Visit the email address you provided to open a confirmation email needed for the completion of creating your account. 6. In the confirmation email you receive, click the "log in" link. 7. Log into the registration site using the user name and password you indicated in the creation of the account above. 8. You will be taken directly to "High Desert's Best of the Best Showcase" training title. 9. Click the green "Register" tab to select from 32 training sessions. 11. Click the box next to the session you want to attend. 12. Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page before going on to the next page. *If your registration was completed successfully, you will receive an immediate, automated confirmation email for each individual session. Please print out these confirmation emails so you know where to go the day of the conference. 13. There are FOUR PAGES of sessions, so be sure to look through all four pages before making your registration choices. To advance pages, click on the page numbers to the upper right of the screen. 14. If you need to "unregister" you can simply click the "unregister" tab next to the conference title. *Registration is easy, lead by simple prompts, and will take about 5 minutes.
